The very first edition of Kennis Maken: National Citizen Science Expo will take place on Thursday, 2 October 2025, from 09:00 to 18:00 at the largest library in the Netherlands, the Public Library of Amsterdam.

Kennis Maken is the knowledge-sharing event for everyone involved in citizen science. Whether you are part of a community initiative, a social organisation, a university, a university of applied sciences, a research institute, the public sector, or a funding body – this expo is all about sharing knowledge and connecting with others in the field. Showcase your latest project, share your insights and best practices, or reflect on the challenges within citizen science. During the expo, we shall elevate citizen science in the Netherlands together. Be inspired by the power of co-creation!

Citizen Science Nederland is organising this first edition in collaboration with the Association of Professors of Applied Sciences and Waag Futurelab.
